Ohio River Hosts Wedding
Tuesday, July 17, 2007
During the summer, most hardcore boaters fear getting invitations to graduation

parties, family reunions, and even weddings. Attending these events would mean one less day on the water. With this in mind, boaters Ron Greiner and Jody Robatzek tied the knot this past Saturday, July 14 on their boat with family and friends looking on from boats anchored and rafted off on the back channel behind Davis Island.
Over ten boats from several marinas anchored off just before noon and awaited the arrival of the river shuttle

“Miss Pittsburgh” that carried the food and non-boating guests to this unique ceremony and reception. Once “Miss Pittsburgh” tied off, Ron and Jody dropped anchor astern of all the other boats where everyone could witness their exchange of vows. They were joined on

their boat by Ron's two sons and the pastor who announced the whole event over the VHF radio.
The guests enjoyed the casual reception that overflowed from the “Miss Pittsburgh" onto the other boats and even into the water. Even the bride and groom ended up going for a swim with some of their friends and family members.
Congrats to Ron and Jody and may they enjoy many more years of boating together.
