Pirates of the Point Recap
Monday, July 07, 2008

Like pirates from the past, the Pirates of the Point Charity Boat Parade battled fierce storms and treacherous waters during the trip, but everyone survived and had a great time while helping out the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Ten boats and over 30 people joined in the fun while helping raise almost $300.

Although we did get a pretty rough storm later in the day, it only lasted about a half hour and it didn't stop us from continuing the tour at the North Shore. We apologize to Bar Louie for not being able to stop at Station Square due to the storm. We would also like to thank Red Fin Blues and Sandcastle for going out of their way to accomdate us and all of our participants. Also thanks to McFaddens and Calico Jacks for having our group.
Congrats to Dana Thomas who won the Labatt Blue Camp Chair and Ashly Macko, the winner of an ice cold case of Labatt Blue for her truly authentic pirate outfit. Everyone else also received t-shirts from Jack Daniels that came in handy after the rain left everyone soaked. Keep an eye out for next year’s calendar; we hope to make this event bigger and better in 2009.
